Fall 2014 Classes

I am teaching 4 classes this semester. Art Attack - middle school art (3 students) Copy Cats! - k-2 art (3 students) Image Bearers - 3-5th grade art (1 student) Art 101 - High School art (5 students) All of my students started out with lessons about the color wheel. Pretty basic, I know, but foundational for sure. The high schoolers had to design a color wheel. The past two weeks we worked on pastel still lifes and had amazing results.

Better late than never. Right?

These are projects my students completed last semester. My Painting and Poetry class completed a HAITI mural (purchased from Kathy Barbro's Art Projects for Kids). Our church has a ministry to Haiti so we use the poster every time we have an information night or bake sale for the Haiti mission. The high school watercolor students did a barn study. In this study the barns were gridded onto watercolor paper first then completed. Their final watercolor project was of a subject of their choosing.
